Yes, it's that easy to support the Friends of Hendricks Park Fundraiser. Have dinner at the Agate Alleyb Bistro on Wednesday evening, February 24th between 6 and 9PM, and 50% goes to Friends of Hendricks Park.

Description:

Explore the New Ribbon Trail with Sally Manifold

Explore the new Ribbon Trail, connecting Hendricks Park with 30th Street at Spring Blvd. An out-and-back hike will feature early signs of spring in the forest of firs, maples and oaks. Walk leader Sally Manifold lives in Eugene's Laurel Hill Valley, and worked for 12 years at Bellingham (WA) Parks.

Rhododendron Garden Tour with Michael Robert

Head gardener emeritus, Michael Robert, will lead a tour of the Rhododendron garden. Michael's many years of experience and knowledge of the history of Hendricks Park will make this a fascinating tour indeed.

Evelyn Hess Book Reading

Local author, naturalist & botanist Evelyn Hess will read excerpts from her recently published book, "To the Woods-Sinking Roots, Living Lightly, and Finding True Home", published by Oregon State University Press. Her book explores the joys of living simply, building a relationship with the natural world, and awakening to the interconnectedness of all life.

Fall Tour with Roger Gossler

Roger Gossler, of Gossler Farms Nursery, will lead a tour of the gardens, providing insight to the most choice and unusual plants for autumn interest. Gossler Farms Nursery, family owned and operated for over 40 yrs, is known from coast to coast for its high quality and unique offerings. Roger is a walking encyclopedia of garden knowledge, and, along with his brother and Mother, has recently published the "Gossler Guide to the Best Hardy Shrubs" through Timber Press.

Past Event Information: “Mending Natural Systems Workshop Summary”

Friends of Hendricks Park is pleased to announce that the summary of the workshop “Mending Natural Systems in Our Cities” is now available online at:
